Dysport®.
Alternative neuromodulator. Faster onset, softer feel.
Dysport vs Botox.
Both use the same core mechanism — blocking the signal between nerve and muscle. Dysport's molecule is slightly smaller, which is why it tends to onset faster and diffuse wider. For broad areas like the forehead, many clients prefer Dysport. For precise targeting — a lip flip, a single crow's-foot line — Botox is usually the pick.
What to expect.
Dysport is priced per unit, but Dysport units are roughly a third of Botox units — so the numbers on your invoice will look different, but the total cost is usually similar. Ali will walk you through the math at your consult.
When Dysport is the better pick.
Dysport spreads slightly more after injection, which makes it especially well-suited to larger or contiguous areas — forehead lines, brow furrows, the 11s, and frown lines that span a wider region. It also has a slightly faster onset (you may see softening at 2–3 days vs Botox's 3–7), which matters if you have a date or event coming up. For very precise small-area work like tiny crow's-feet or lip flips, Botox can be the cleaner choice. Ali will pick the right one — we don't push the more expensive option.
Best use cases.
First-time neurotoxin clients who want the gentlest learning curve · Anyone with broad forehead lines or 11s · Clients who've plateaued on Botox and want to try a different molecule · Anyone with an upcoming event in 4–7 days who needs faster onset · Patients who've developed Botox resistance over time.
If your forehead is broad and your lines are wide, Dysport tends to feel more natural. I'll steer you to whichever one fits.
