Pre-care instructions.
We want your injection experience to be as smooth as possible — and to avoid any complications. Read through the items below in the days leading up to your appointment so we can hit the ground running on treatment day.
Before any injectable treatment
- Pregnancy & breastfeeding. Injectables can't be used if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. Tell us before you book.
- No alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment — and drink plenty of water.
- Plan timing. Schedule cosmetic filler and Botox® at least 2 weeks before a special occasion. Bruising and swelling need time to settle.
- Pause Retinol products 2 days before and 2 days after any cosmetic treatment.
- Avoid blood thinners when possible: aspirin, Motrin, Advil, Ibuprofen, Excedrin, Aleve, Naproxen.
- Tell your nurse if you take fish oil, flaxseed, ginkgo, CoQ10, or vitamin E. If possible, stop these about 1 week before treatment.
- Clients on prescription blood thinners may only stop with their prescribing doctor's approval. Don't stop on your own.
- If you have a history of cold sores, contact your primary care provider for an antiviral (e.g., Valtrex) before treatment.
- Avoid dental work for 2 weeks before AND 2 weeks after your procedure.
Heads up: none of this is meant to override medical advice from your prescribing doctor. If you have questions about how a specific medication or condition affects your eligibility, message us before your appointment and Ali will walk through it with you.
After your treatment
Each treatment has slightly different aftercare. We hand you printed instructions before you leave, but the digital versions live on dedicated pages so you can reference them anytime:
- Post-injectables care — Botox, Dysport, dermal fillers, Kybella
- Post-beauty treatment care — facials, waxing, chemical peels
Not sure where to start?
Tell us what you're curious about. Ali or Dani will get back to you personally — no forms-into-the-void, no pressure.
